Private Dining Guidelines

 

BOOKING PROCEDURES

ROOM CAPACITIES 

Our restaurant is divided into several dining rooms with varying capacities. Our Birch & Pine Rooms can be reserved together to create a larger space for a group of up to 24 guests. The Garden Room accesses a small patio in the summer. Our Chef’s Table can be reserved for a special Chef’s Tasting menu as well.

Chef’s Table – up to 8 guests

Garden Room – up to 10 guests

Maple Room – up to 16 guests

Pine Room – up to 10 guests

Birch Room – up to 14 guests

Garden Room Patio – up to 16 guests

 

EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RESTAURANT

For groups wishing to have use of the entire restaurant exclusively during lunch or dinner, there is a $8000 minimum food and beverage expenditure.

The maximum capacity is 64 guests for a sit down meal plus, when in season an additional 16 seats on our patio. Reservations for the entire restaurant must be booked in advance discussed, and approved directly with our event organizer. For groups between 35 and 45, may have the upper level exclusively reserved. For groups over 45 use of the entire restaurant is required.

At the discretion of management, the restaurant can also be reserved on days outside of our usual business hours. Such Events outside of usual business hours will be subject to a $4000 minimum food and beverage expenditure.

 

MENU DETAILS

All private dining events for groups of 10 or more people will need to select a pre-set menu. If the event is on a Saturday night, groups of 8 or more will be subject to the same policy.  Cost of menus will be adjusted accordingly should you wish to customize a menu from the pre-set sample items.  

Menu items are based from our current selections and change throughout the year based on seasonal availability.  Food items are subject to change and are based on current market prices.

 

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION

Reservations for 8 people or less, require 24 hours notice of cancellation.  For groups of 10 or more, we require at least 72 hours notice for cancellation.  Reservations for exclusive use of either the top floor, or the entire restaurant require 7 days of notice.

Cancellations without proper notice are subject to a $25 per person fee.  For events where there is a pre-set menu, the full price of the menu plus gratuities, will be charged per person instead. Full payment is to be paid at the end of the event via cash, credit card, or interac debit.  The final bill can only be split into a maximum of four separate bills.

 

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING AND FINAL NUMBERS

Please note that reservations are not considered confirmed until a valid credit card number is received. Confirmation of final numbers and menu selections must be communicated no later than 72hrs in advance of your booking.  Minor adjustments to the guest count can be made up to the day of, prior to arrival.  Guests who are ‘no shows’ will be charged at full value for the pre-set menu and gratuity.

 

ADJUSTMENTS TO ROOM CONFIGURATIONS

Flor De Sal Restaurant reserves the right to make adjustments to room configurations and/or room assignments based on final confirmed numbers.  These changes will be communicated via email or telephone. 

 

AUTOMATIC GRATUITY

A standard 20% pre-tax gratuity will be applied to all private event bookings. Also for reservations of 6 guests or more, will have gratuity added to their bill.

 

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Outside food and beverage is not allowed without advance agreement. 

 

The following fees apply:

 

Cake Cutting and External Desserts $4.50 per person

Kosher Meals $25 per meal brought onto premises

Corkage $50 per bottle

 

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL

In compliance with provincial and federal laws, management reserves the right to restrict or refuse the service of alcohol to any guests we deem to be intoxicated.

 

DAMAGES

Please note all event rooms will be inspected upon the completion of every event. The client is fully responsible for any damages to fixtures, equipment, furniture or rooms caused by themselves and/or their guests. Should damages be discovered, a quote for repair or replacement will be provided.  Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the credit card on file and are non-negotiable.
